Market parties preferences for technical specifications for hydrogen backbone published
Hynetwork Services has published an overview of the preferences of market parties for the technical specifications of the Dutch national hydrogen transport network. The overview is based on the response by (potential) users to a market consultation carried out last year. The results will be used as input for the final (technical) specifications for the transport network. Friday 15 October, a webinar on the development of the national hydrogen infrastructure will be held for interested parties.
A number of technical specification preferences have emerged from the results of the market consultation. Participating market parties prefer, for example, at least 98% purity of hydrogen. The entry and exit pressures are preferably set at 50 bar entry and 30 bar exit.
Development of a national transport network for hydrogen
The development of transport capacity for hydrogen is a crucial step in giving hydrogen the necessary key position in our economy and energy supply. These and other conclusions from the HyWay 27 report from this spring were one of the reasons why the State Secretary of Climate and Energy requested Gasunie to take on the development of this infrastructure. In the presentation of the budget plans for 2022 it was announced that the government had reserved €750 million for the development of the transport network for hydrogen. This is another important step towards its realisation.
Webinar on the development of the national hydrogen transport network
Friday 15 October, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy and Hynetwork Services will broadcast a webinar from 11 am to 1 pm on the development of a national transport network for hydrogen. The webinar will provide feedback on the outcomes of the HyWay 27 project. In addition, the results of the market consultation will be presented. It will also go into the steps that will be taken in the coming period to create a transport network for hydrogen. The webinar is intended for all interested (market) parties.
