The first part of the Dutch hydrogen network will run from the planned hydrogen plant at Maasvlakte 2 (a new extension of the Port of Rotterdam) to the Shell Pernis refinery. This is an extraordinary operation that involves a great deal of work.

Superintendent Joost Hoogendoorn is proud to be working with colleagues and partners to make industry more sustainable. The work is varied: ‘Today I’m standing in a tunnel, and tomorrow I’ll be under a pipeline junction. ’He tells us more about his work in Gasunie’s Working on Energy series.
