Groningen

Hydrogen Network Groningen is the part of the national hydrogen network that runs from Eemshaven via Tjuchem to Delfzijl, and then to the Dutch-German border at Oude Statenzijl and the provincial border with Drenthe at Nieuwediep. It provides an essential connection within the province of Groningen and with neighbouring regions.

Delta Rhine Corridor

The Delta Rhine Corridor is a cluster of underground pipelines and cables, which is currently under development in the stretch of pipeline running from Rotterdam via Moerdijk to the Dutch province of Limburg and further on to Germany.

Drenthe Overijssel

Hydrogen Network Drenthe and Overijssel is the hydrogen network in the provinces of Drenthe and Overijssel. This part of the network provides the connection to the industrial cluster in the Northern Netherlands (Groningen) and to Hydrogen Network Eastern Netherlands. In the future, there will also be a connection from this area to Germany.

Haven Zeeland waterstofnetwerk zuidwest-Nederland

Southwest Netherlands

Industry in Zeeland accounts for 35% of current demand for hydrogen for the production of fertilisers, fuels and plastics in the Netherlands. Since this hydrogen is produced from natural gas, this region is responsible for a significant proportion of Dutch CO₂ emissions. The future hydrogen network in the southwest Netherlands will supply green hydrogen to industry in Zeeland and connect this region to other regions.

The construction of Hydrogen Network Western Netherlands will create an important connection between the industrial North Sea Canal Area and the industrial Rotterdam area.

The North Sea Canal Area (NSCA) cluster is one of the largest industrial clusters in the Netherlands. Together with Schiphol and the Port of Amsterdam, the NSCA is a critical area for logistics and industry.

Rotterdam is already one of the most important energy ports in Europe. Hynetwork has laid a new hydrogen pipeline in this area to help the Port of Rotterdam establish and maintain its position as Europe’s leading green energy port. That is good for employment and our climate.

Limburg

The future hydrogen network in Limburg will supply green hydrogen to industry in Limburg. In addition, the Chemelot industrial cluster will be connected to other large industrial areas in the Netherlands and to the hydrogen storage location in Zuidwending.
