Emergency situations and curtailment

In the event of an emergency, we may curtail connected parties by interrupting transport services.

The approach to curtailment in the circumstances concerned will be determined primarily by:

  • The nature and scale of the emergency
  • The consequences of curtailment
  • The speed at which parties can be curtailed and subsequently reconnected
  • The geographical location

Communications

Our Dispatching Centre will keep the affected parties informed by telephone of the emergency situation and its impact on transport services.
